The Silvan / Comet APS166 is a heavy-duty, high-pressure five-diaphragm pump built for the most demanding commercial spraying operations — including large-scale orchard and vineyard air-blast spraying, broadacre pest control, and professional weed management. A step up from the APS121, the APS166 delivers greater flow capacity for high-volume rigs and multi-gun setups.
Built on the proven Comet APS platform, the APS166 features a 5-piston, semi-hydraulic, five-diaphragm design with an anodized aluminium crankcase and hardened stainless steel valve seats. It delivers up to 50 bar (725 PSI) and a rated flow of 163 L/min at a maximum shaft speed of 550 RPM. The Z6 spline input and output shafts allow direct PTO connection and simultaneous drive of ancillary equipment such as a blower fan — ideal for air-assist orchard and vineyard rigs.
The APS166 is self-priming, dry-run safe, and compatible with a wide range of agricultural chemicals including liquid fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and suspension concentrates — making it equally suited to a large vineyard spray program or a commercial pest control fleet.
